3 Quick & Easy Healthy Tips

Here are a few tips that helped me to get back on track with my health and have shaped my healthy lifestyle journey!

Tip # 1: Start small!

It’s normal to fall off track with your workout routine when life gets crazy. Set a goal for yourself each week and try to keep adding to it as you move forward. It will get easier as time passes and your body will naturally adjust to the changes.

If you hardly work out, try some light stretching or yoga once or twice a week and work your way up into some more challenging exercises and workout routines by the end of the month.

You don’t need to have a gym membership to work out. There are so many FREE workout videos online. Check out my blog post that includes the links of some of my favorite at home online workout routines to get you started.

As soon as you find your rhythm you will immediately begin to feel all of the amazing benefits that staying active has to offer.

1.You will discover you have way more energy -no more feeling sluggish and exhausted all the time! You will feel more confident, you will sleep better and you will feel so much happier!!

2. You will feel more confident with yourself helping you to continue pushing and setting new goals.

3. You will sleep better every night.

4. Overall, you will feel so much happier!!

Tip # 2: Push yourself

You don’t know if you can do it until you try! If you are working out and stuck in the same routine your body will never see results. Push yourself to try something different!

For me, I started using 5-pound weights when working on weight-resistance training. After using that for quite some time, I began to feel like it was not giving me the same workout that I use to get out of it. I then tried to use the next size up (7 pounds) and it made a huge difference.

Switching things up and trying new things is so important for our bodies if we really want to see the results that we are after.  If you run on the treadmill at the same speed all the time, push yourself to run a little faster or maybe run at a bit of an incline. Start small and build yourself up until you’ve hit your new norm!

Tip # 3: Drink Water-Stay Hydrated!

One of the keys to feeling good all day and helping to kick cravings is drinking water. You’re typically supposed to drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day. If you are prepared ahead of time, it is much easier to stick to that goal. Have cold water bottles handy at all times, nothing better than the taste of ice cold water when you’re thirsty! Pack your lunch bag and your gym bag with the water bottles that you need to drink for that day. Bring plenty of water when you are working out! Buy a water infuser and have fun water choices ready in the refrigerator for whenever you need them.

My go-to infused water choices are lemon & mint, cucumber, orange, and cucumber-lime & mint. If you have them ready to drink, you are more likely to choose that over a sugary alternative. Give it a try!
