**Every afternoon it always seems like I am looking for a snack to help get me through the rest of the work day. Trail mix makes for the perfect snack on all occasions. Not only does it fill me up enough to hold me over until I get home, but it also adds the “crunch” and the “something sweet” that I’m looking for mid-afternoon just about every single day.
I like to make my trail mix ahead of time to have on hand whenever we want it. You can even take it a step further by prepping small bagfuls to grab for lunches or whenever you are on the go! I like to keep mine in a big jar that I scored from Home Goods so that it is easy to access all throughout the week!
**Pencils & Forks Tip: To save money- buy your ingredients for trail mix (nuts, chocolate chips, dried fruit) in bulk at your local supermarket (Ex: Whole Foods, Costco) or shop online at Thrive Market for some great deals on healthy options!
