Snickerdoodle Dog Treats

Your dog will fall in love with you all over again when you make them these yummy treats! These treats are easy to make and great to keep on hand or to give as a gift for any furry friend in your life! Store these treats in an air-tight container or a Ziploc bag at room temperature and enjoy within 3 weeks.

Ingredients:

  • 1+1/2 cups brown rice flour
  • 1+1/2 cups flour
  • 3 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (REAL stuff)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter (REAL!!)
  • 3-4 tablespoons honey
  • 3/4 cup water

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Mix all dry ingredients together and slowly incorporate wet ingredients into the mix. Thoroughly mix until there are no clumps.
  3. Form dough into small balls and press down to flatten as they will not rise when they bake. Using a fork, make your standard snickerdoodle pattern. Each cookie should be about the size of a quarter once flattened. I tend to make mine a little bit bigger because my dog likes to hoard his treats and stock up on them when they are small…no lie! :-O
  4. Bake for 18-24 minutes or until nice and golden in color. They will be crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside… the perfect combination for your furry friend!
